Article on Binayak Sen by retired IB officer

This article on Binayak Sen by NT Ravindranath (He is a retired Intelligence bureau (IB) officer) should alert millions of Indians about modus operandi of such organizations and activists.

SC’s logic while giving bail to Binayak sen, that possessing Naxal material is not a proof that he or she advocates that ideology is beyond comprehension. Binayak sen did not only possess such material but was a medium used to exchange letters between a deadly dangerous wanted Naxal leader and Naxal supporter.

Naxal agenda is open and transparent. Naxals and Maoists are butchering our security forces and innocent tribals. To call it a Gandhian movement is height of intellectual bankruptcy and lunacy.   Who so ever may be responsible for poor conditions in tribal areas, but this is not the way to solve that problem.

What is the ultimate aim of these so called intellectuals? They have an agenda to disintegrate this country into pieces.

How is that most of these NGOs are funded from overseas dubious or overt or covert Christian missionary organizations?

How is that most Magsaysay award winners become a sympathizers of Naxalism or separatist activities in India?

Recently a Pakistani ISI supported NGO in USA, championing the cause of Kashmiries has been exposed by FBI of USA. They have sponsored many Indian intellectuals like Kuldeep Nair, activist Gautam Navlakha, Rajindra Sacchar, Dilip Padgaonkar (ex editor TOI and J&K interlocutor) etc. to many seminars on Kashmir (http://www.indianexpress.com/news/padgaonkar-j&k-interlocutor-is-among-fais-many-guest-speakers/820304/).

Where was Rahul Gandhi on the night of 26th Nov 2008 - Mumbai Terror Attack

That Rahul Gandhi is an imbecile of highest order is well known. What always surprises me is how little people know about this.

Rahul in party mood soon after Mumbai crisis

Even before the tears of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan’s mother could dry up, Congress general secretary and heir apparent Rahul Gandhi went partying with his pals at a farmhouse on Delhi’s outskirts.

The Prince partied hard, till 5 in the morning, on Sunday at the ‘sangeet’ for the forthcoming wedding of Samir Sharma, his childhood friend. They were at a sprawling farmhouse at Radhey Mohan Chowk, the haven of people who lead charmed lives beyond Chhatarpur.
Just a day earlier, his sister Priyanka Vadra had caused a flutter by saying the late Indira Gandhi would have “made us very proud” by the way she would have reacted to the Mumbai terror strikes.
Mumbai appeared to be far from her brother’s mind as he boogied at the farmhouse with Samir Sharma, US-based furniture designer son of Captain Satish Sharma, the late Rajiv Gandhi’s flying partner who nursed the First Family’s pocketborough, Rae Bareli, till Sonia Gandhi chose to contest from there in 2004.

Muslims must have the ‘first claim’ on resources - Manmohan Singh

On Saturday, 9 Dec 2006, birthday of Sonia Gandhi, the Maharani of India, her loyal family servant, Dr. Manmohan Singh - officially the Prime Minister of India (not Pakistan or Bangladesh) said that Muslims must have the first claim on national resources.

This is a secular country, so a Talibani statement like this needed to be highlighted.

And yet, search Google and you find only the Indian Express version and the IBN Live version. A diluted version of news appearing on The Hindu also comes up.

As a look at the Times of India archives shows, the article exists, but even for a search like "Muslims must have first claim" it does not appear.

This is a common trend for many articles / news that highlight the negatives of Congress / other traitors. They simply disappear from Google.

For record purposes, the article is being stored here.

This is the Indian Express version.

Not just White girls, Pak Muslim men sexually target Hindu and Sikh girls as well

A day after UKs' former home secretary Jack Straw blamed some Pakistani Muslim men for targeting "vulnerable" White girls sexually, UK's Hindu and Sikh organizations also publicly accused Muslim groups of the same offence.

Straw, in an interview to the BBC recently, had said, "...there is a specific problem which involves Pakistani heritage men...who target vulnerable young white girls...they see these young women, white girls who are vulnerable, some of them in care ... who they think are easy meat."

Feeling emboldened by Straw's statement, UK's Hindu and Sikh organizations have also come in open and accused some Pakistani men of specifically targeting Hindu and Sikh girls. "This has been a serious concern for the last decade," said Hardeep Singh of Network of Sikh Organizations (NSO) while talking to TOI on Monday.

Sikhs and Hindus are annoyed that Straw had shown concern for White girls and not the Hindu and the Sikh teenage girls who have been coaxed by some Pakistani men for sex and religious conversion.

"Straw does other communities a disservice by suggesting that only white girls were targets of this predatory behaviour. We raised the issue of our girls with the previous government and the police on several occasions over the last decade. This phenomenon has been there because a minority of Islamic extremists view all 'non believers' as legitimate targets," said director NSO Inderjit Singh.

Targeted sexual offences and forced conversions of Hindu and Sikh girls was not a new phenomenon in the UK, said Ashish Joshio from Media Monitoring group.

"This has been going on for decades in the UK . Young Muslim men have been boasting about seducing the Kaffir (unbeliever) women. The Hindu and the Sikh communities must be commended for showing both restraint and maturity under such provocation," he added.

Hardeep said that in 2007, The Hindu Forum of Britain claimed that hundreds of Hindu and Sikh girls had been first romantically coaxed and later intimidated and converted by Muslim men.

Inderjit said," We are heartened by the swift condemnation of this behaviour by the Prime Minister David Cameron and his government. However, we urge the government to be firm in dealing with this criminal behaviour to protect the vulnerable girls, and, importantly protect the good name of the majority law abiding members of the Muslim community."

Swami Aseemanand - a Missionary Conspiracy

Swami Aseemananda, who has been reported to have confessed to the Malegaon, Samjhauta Express, Ajmer and Mecca blasts, is one of the main contributor to the astonishing turnaround of Adivasis of Dang district towards Hindutva.

The first church was established in Dang district in 1904. Since then, conversions to Christianity had been progressing at an alarming rate. In the period 1991-2001, the Christian population grew by a massive 400 per cent!

The process of self-alienation and separatism which accompanies conversion had become visible in Dang. Makeshift, illegal churches had mushroomed in cowsheds and residential areas. These churches were unregistered and illegal. Proselytization activism was creating security problems for Hindus. It was in the midst of such hostile conditions that a Hindu swami descended upon Dang.

Swami Aseemananda, a Hindu sannyasi of the Akhil Bharatiya Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram. A Bengali by birth, Swamiji had spent several years in the Andaman and Nicobar islands. He was innovative and bold in arousing the latent feeling of Hindutva amongst the vanavasis.

Christian zealots made many murderous attempts on his life to stop this new trend. Deeply concerned by the Christianization of Dang, Swamiji resolved to stay in Dang and foil the designs of Christian missionaries. It was in August 1997 that this saffron-clad sannyasi set foot in Dang. All that he carried with him in this unfamiliar and hostile terrain were around 500 lockets of Hanuman and an unshakeable resolve.

He would knock at the door of each house and would ask the inmates one question, “Are you Hindu or Christian?” At the house of one such Hindu, Swamiji asked him, “May I spend the night in your house?” The Hindu gladly welcomed Swamiji. Swamiji kept his luggage, distributed the Hanuman lockets to the children and asked them to bring their Hindu friends in the evening for a Ram katha. That night, Dang witnessed the first ever Dharma sabha.

Sensing danger, Christian missionaries asked Swamiji, “What brings you here?”
The Swami posed them the same question.
We have come here to serve the people replied the Christian missionaries.
“I have come here to drive away those who have come here to serve” retorted the Swami.

That was the beginning of the Hindu awakening in the Dangs.

In 1998, 25, 000 Christians embraced the religion of their forefathers in just two months. In 2006, Shabari Kumbh, one of the biggest Hindutva gathering was conceived. Swamy Aseemananda played a key role in ideation and organization of the Kumbh.

Organizing a kumbh in a remote, heavily forested area was a nightmare from logistics point of view. It required steely resolve, meticulous planning and precision to make the programme a grand success. The 352 villages in Dang district had no electricity, or roads; the town of Ahwa is a good 35 km from the proposed site of the kumbh. There were no medical facilities or eateries in the vicinity.

Planning started atleast one and a half years ago.

A 250-200 hectare site was chosen for the kumbh. The support of state government to undertake construction of roads on a war footing was secured. Electrification of all the 352 villages of Dang was completed. A total of 22 check dams were built on the river that feeds the Pampa sarovar facilitating holy bath for participants.

A total of 20 lakh vanavasis reside in an area of 80 km around Dang. A survey of 5, 000 villages in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh was completed in the initial phase.

Around 30-35 lakh vanavasis were contacted in this massive exercise. An estimated six lakh Hindus attended the kumbh; of these, around two lakh stayed for all three days.

To arrange for their lodging, 40 townships each with a capacity of 5, 000 people were erected. Each township had 100 workers to look after various arrangements such as security, food, medical aid etc. A total of 4000 workers looked after the arrangements in the townships; an additional 2000 workers were involved in other arrangements.

About 388 vanavasi janajatis and 137 urban jatis which were facing missionary onslaught participated in the kumbh. Dharmacharyas from all over the country including 800 vanavasi sants attended the kumbh taking part in the deliberations. Around 20 lakh lockets with ishta-devata of the recipient; 5 lakh Hanuman Chalisa and 5 lakh Bhagwa Dhwaj were distributed.

Rahul G and results

Raul Vinci with Columbian GF Veronica

Rahul G, put his heart and soul in the DUSU elections, personally supervising a city university election.
Congress won only the J Secy post.

Rahul G, put his heart and soul in the Bihar elections, addressing 19 rallies.
Congress tally went from 9 to 4.

If Rahul G had put as much effort with his Columbian GF, he might at least have had a few kids to show for it.

Eminent historian displeased with the Ayodhya verdict

After the Court judgment. the Sickulars start cribbing. If the judgment had been anti Hindu, we would be listening to crap about rule of law and similar SHITE.

Romilla Thapar - so called "Eminent Historian" - whose crappy History our children read, does not believe the archeological evidence.

Koenraad Elst's note on the same.

Eminent historian displeased with the Ayodhya verdict
Romila Tha par, most eminent among India's eminent historians, protests against the Court verdict acknowledging the historical evidence that the Babar mosque in Ayodhya had been built in forcible replacement of a Rama temple.

After two decades of living on top of the world, the eminent historians are brought down to earth.
In 1858, the Virgin Mary appeared to young Bernadette Soubirous in Lourdes, France.

Before long, Lourdes became the most important pilgrimage site for Roman Catholics and other Mary worshippers. France prided itself on being a secular state, in some phases (esp. 1905-40) even aggressively secular, yet it acknowledged and protected Lourdes as a place of pilgrimage. Not many French officials actually believe in the apparition, but that is not the point. The believers are human beings, fellow citizens, and out of respect for them does the state respect and protect their pilgrimage.

For essentially the same reason, viz. the mere fact that the Ayodhya site is
well-established as a sacred site for Hindu pilgrimage, is reason enough to protect its functioning as a Hindu sacred site, complete with proper Hindu temple architecture. Ayodhya doesn’t have this status in any other religion (though Buddhism in the Jataka story cycle accepts Rama as an earlier incarnation of the Buddha), most certainly not in Islam.

So, the sensible and secular thing to do, even for those sceptical of every religious belief involved, is to leave the site to the Hindus. It helps to know, but is not strictly of any importance in the present, that Hindus kept going there even when a mosque stood there, even under Muslim rule. It is sufficient that the site has this sacred status today.

Secular PM Rajiv Gandhi had understood this, and from the court-ordered opening of the locks on the mosque-used-as-temple in 1986, he was manoeuvring towards an arrangement leaving the contentious site to the Hindus in exchange for some other goodies (starting with the ShahBano amendment and the Satanic Verses ban) for the Muslim leadership. Call it Congress culture or horse-trading, but it would have been practical and saved everyone a lot of trouble.

That is when a group of "eminent historians" started raising the stakes and turning this local communal deal into a clash of civilizations, a life-and-death matter on which the survival of the greatest treasure in the universe depended, viz. secularism. Secure in their hegemonic position, they didn't limit themselves to denying to the Hindus the right of rebuilding their demolished temple (say, "a medieval demolition doesn't justify a counter-demolition today"), but went so far as to deny the well-established fact that the mosque had been built in forcible replacement of a Rama temple.

Though intimidated, the political class didn't give in altogether but subtly pursued its plans. In late 1990, Chandra Shekhar's minority govenrment, supported and largely teleguided by opposition leader Rajiv Gandhi, invited the Vishva Hindu Parishad and the Babri Masjid Action Committe to mandate some selected scholars for a discussion of the historical evidence.
The politicians had clearly expected that the debate would bring out the evidence and silence the deniers for good. And that is what happened, or at least the first half. Decisive evidence was indeed presented, but it failed to discourage the deniers.

The VHP-employed team presented the already known documentary and archaeological evidence and dug up quite a few new documents confirming the temple demolition (including four that Muslim institutions had tried to conceal or tamper with).

The BMAC-employed team quit the discussions but brought out a booklet later, trumpeted as the final deathblow of the temple demolition “myth”. In fact, it turned out to be limited to an attempt at whittling down the evidential impact of a selected few of the pro-temple documents and holding forth on generalities of politicized history without proving how any of that could neutralize this particular evidence.

It contained not a single (even attempted) reference to a piece of actual evidence proving an alternative scenario or positively refuting the established scenario. I have given a full account earlier in my book Ayodhya, the Case against the Temple (2002): http://koenraadelst.bharatvani.org/books/acat/index.htm

As for the second half, that didn't work out as hoped for. No amount of evidence could silence the deniers. Though defeated on contents, the "eminent historians" became only more insistent in denying the evidence. They especially excelled in
blackening and slandering those few scholars who publicly stood by the evidence, not even sparing the towering archaeologist BB Lal.

Overnight, what had been the consensus in Muslim, Hindu and European sources, was turned into a "claim" by "Hindu extremists". They managed to intimidate a Dutch scholar who had earlier contributed even more elements to the already large pile of pro-temple evidence into backtracking. Most spectacularly, they managed to get the entire international media and the vast majority of India-related academics who ever voiced an opinion on the matter, into toeing their line.

These dimly-informed India-watchers too started intoning the no-temple mantra and slandering the dissidents, to their faces or behind their backs, as "liars", "BJP prostitutes", and what not.

Even in the world-renowned RISA collective, dozens chose to toe this party-line of disregarding the evidence and denying the obvious, viz. that the Babri Masjid (along with the Kaaba, the Mezquita, the Ummayad mosque, the Aya Sophia, the Quwwatu'l-Islam etc.) was one of the numerous ancient mosques built on, or with materials from, purposely desecrated or demolished non-Muslim places of worship.

Until the demolition by Hindu activists on 6 December 1992, Congress PM Narasimha Rao was clearly pursuing the same plan of a bloodless hand-over of the site to the Hindus in exchange for some concessions to the Muslims.
The activists who performed the demolition were angry with their own leaders for seemingly abandoning the Ayodhya campaign after winning the 1991 elections with it, but perhaps the Hindutva leaders had secretly been in touch with the PM or at any rate adjusted their policy to their inside perception of a deal planned by him.

After the demolition, Rao milked it for its anti-BJP nuisance value and gave out some pro-mosque signals; but a closer look at his actual policies shows that he stayed on course. His Government requested the Supreme Court to offer an opinion on the historical background of the Ayodhya dispute, knowing fully well from the outcome of the scholars’ debate that an informed opinion could only favour the Hindu claim.

In normal circumstances, it is not a court's business to pronounce on matters of history, but then whom else could you trust to give a fair opinion when the professional historians were being so brazenly partisan?

The Supreme Court sent the matter on, or back, to the Allahabad High Court, which at long last got serious about finding out the true story. It ordered a ground-penetrating radar search and the most thorough excavations. In this effort, carried out in 2003, the ASI employed a large number of Muslims in order to preempt the predictable allegation of being a Hindutva outfit.

The findings confirmed those of the excavations in the 1950s, 1970s and 1992: a very large Hindu religious building stood at the site before the Babri Masjid. The Allahabad High Court has now accepted these findings by India's apex archaeological body. But not everyone is willing to accept this.

In particular, the eminent historians are up in arms. In a guest column in The Hindu (2 Oct. 2010: “The verdict on Ayodhya, a historian’s opinion”, http://www.thehindu.com/opinion/op-ed/article807232.ece ), Prof. Romila Thapar claims that the ASI findings had been "disputed".

Oh well, it is true that some of her school had thought up the most hilariously contrived objections, which I held against the light in my booklet Ayodhya, the Finale: Science vs. Secularism in the Excavations Debate, http://koenraadelst.bharatvani.org/books/finale/index.html .

Thus, it was said that the presence of pillar-bases doesn’t imply that pillars were built on it, or that the findings of some animal bones in one layer precludes the existence of a temple, and more such hare-brained reasoning.

The emerging picture was clear enough: there is no such thing as a refutation of the overwhelming ASI evidence, just as there is no refutation of the archaeological and documentary evidence presented earlier.

Today, I feel sorry for the eminent historians. They have identified very publicly with the denial of the Ayodhya evidence. While politically expedient, and while going unchallenged in the academically most consequential forums for twenty years, that position has now been officially declared false. It suddenly dawns on them that they have tied their names to an enterprise unlikely to earn them glory in the long run.

We may expect frantic attempts to intimidate the Supreme Court into annulling the Allahabad verdict, and possibly it will succeed. But it is unlikely that future generations, unburdened with the presently prevailing power equation that made this history denial profitable, will play along and keep on disregarding the massive body of historical evidence.

With the Ayodhya verdict, the eminent historians are catching a glimpse of what they will look like when they stand before Allah’s throne on Judgment Day.

Lottery mafia paid Singhvi’s hotel bills

Abhishek Manu Singhavi, the CON-gress spokesperson appears in Kerala to defend the Lottery Mafia. The hotel bills are paid by the Mafia.

The same Lottery Mafia that is run by a CPI (M) head honcho.

And against which CON-gress is protesting in Kerala.

It is worthy of being a WTF moment record holder but for Rahul Baba's utterances.

Jai Ho !!!

Lottery mafia paid Singhvi’s hotel bills
03/10/2010 13:49:49 VR Jayaraj | Kerala - Daily Pioneer

The company of ‘lottery king’ Santiago Martin, described as the don of South India’s lotteries cartel, had paid the hotel bills incurred by Congress’s national spokesman Abhishek Manu Singhvi when he stayed in Kochi last week to argue a lotteries case in the Kerala High Court, reports say.

One A Shajahan, booked into Hotel Taj Malabar of Kochi in the address of Martin-owned TV channel SS Music in Chennai, had paid the bills Singhvi had incurred during his stay at the same hotel, a Malayalam TV channel reported. Singhvi’s appearance as counsel of the lottery mafia has become a huge political embarrassment for the State Congress in the middle of the civic polls campaign.

At the same time, the lotteries directorate of Bhutan has reportedly denied Singhvi’s earlier claim that he had argued in the lotteries case not for the lottery mafia but for the Royal Government of Bhutan. Reports from Thimphu quoting the lotteries director there said his department had not engaged any lawyer to argue any case in Kerala.

However, Delhi reports on Sunday quoted Singhvi as reiterating that he had represented the Bhutan Government in the Kerala High Court. He said that his lawyer fee was paid by the Bhutan Government but feigned ignorance as to who had paid the hotel bills.

Talking to the media in Kochi last Wednesday, Singhvi had said, “I am representing in the court the Royal Government of Bhutan, a sovereign country.” He had repeated the same statement a day later saying, “Why do you want me to repeat this? I am engaged by the Government of Bhutan.”

He later changed his line of argument before the media saying he was in Kochi to defend the Central rules against an Ordinance promulgated by the Kerala Government to control the illegal lottery operators. The irony is that the main architect of the Ordinance, which Singhvi termed as un-Constitutional, was the Congress of Kerala.

Despite strong protests from State Congress leaders and black-flag demonstrations by the Youth Congress, Singhvi had appeared in the High Court to argue against the Ordinance promulgated to control illegal lotteries operators, who according to the Congress, were plundering an annual average of Rs 16,000 crore of poor man’s money from the State.

Singhvi’s appearance in the court for the lottery mafia caused the accusations against the CPI(M) that they were the protectors of the illegal operators to boomerang on the State Congress. The CPI(M) was quick to cash in on the situation saying Singhvi had appeared for the lottery mafia on instructions from top AICC leadership which, along with the UPA Government, was its protector.

In the context of the new revelations, State Congress president Ramesh Chennithala and party MLA VD Satheesan, who had brought up the lotteries scam as a campaign issue against the CPI(M), said they would ask the high command to take stringent action against Singhvi.

Chennithala also reiterated his earlier accusation that Singhvi was the victim of a conspiracy hatched by State Finance Minister Thomas Isaac, a CPI(M) central committee member, and the lottery mafia. He alleged that they had searched out Singhvi to argue the case for lottery mafia with political intentions.

“A very serious charge has been leveled against Kerala’s Finance Minister,” Isaac pointed out adding, “It is time for Singhvi to reveal who had engaged him in this case.” Isaac said there was no surprise that the lottery mafia had paid Singhvi’s bills. P Chidambaram and his wife Nalini had earlier appeared as counsels for them, he added.

विनय ना मानत जलधि जड़

विनय ना मानत जलधि जड़,
गए तीन दिन बीती,

बोले राम सकोप तब,
भय बिन होई ना प्रीती

When the stupid ocean did not respond
even after three days of Lord Ram's requests,
Shree Ram got angry and said,
"There is no Love without Fear"

The High Court's judgement regarding Ayodhya ji

The Court's verdict in the Ayodhya is an opportunity for the Muslims and Professional Hindu Haters (Leftists / Liberals / Secular / Congress etc.) to create an environment of respect and reconciliation towards the Hindu community.

That there was a temple that Babar destroyed is proven beyond doubt. So why not say that entire India will join hands in creating a भव्य temple of Lord Ram.

Why this insistence on having a Mosque next door announcing 5 times that there is no God except Allah. And butchering animals on Eid.

In Saudi Arabia, if a non Muslim enters Mecca / Medina, he will get beheaded.

So, why should our holy land be desecrated ?

Mosque at Shree Ram Janma Bhoomi

There was a posting on a Social Media Site.

There is no need for temples or churches or mosques, no need for complicated philosophy. God is everywhere! Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness and love. So whatever be the Ayodhya verdict just Chill my friends

I liked the response:
Removing a symbol of slavery should be welcomed by all. Why is vote bank politics being played on this.

Why should anyone who believes in our Nation, oppose the proposal of shifting the "mosque" commemorating a fanatic, blood thirsty marauder called Babar to outside Ayodhya ji - an area that is sacred to millions of people.

For the English speaking elite, "Ram" is a mythological character. For the millions who did not study in convents, "Lord Ram" is a matter of belief and veneration - not logic.

It is well known that more than 30, 000 temples were destroyed and mosques built in their place - to humiliate and rub the salt in the wounds of the defeated Hindus.

We have asked for just 3 temples - in Ayodhya ji - Lord Ram's temple, in Mathura ji - Lord Krishna's birthplace and Lord Shiv in Kashi ji (Varanasi).

If you have ever visited any of these you will realize that the temples were destroyed precisely to enslave our minds, to demonstrate the victory of Islam over Hindus.

After 1947, Muslims who chose to stay in India - instead of going to Pakistan, did with an understanding of respecting Hindu opinion. They should be progressive in correcting the wrongs committed by their forefathers and creating a strong relationship of respect and reconciliation with the majority community.

It is in line with what the German govt. did for Jews and similar to the Catholic Church's apology for the Inquisitions and ethnic cleansing of the Incas, Aztecs, and other indigenous people.

Only people who believe that these "mosques" - essentially symbols of slavery should be allowed to stay - are those who do not believe in a life of respect and dignity for the Hindus in their own country.

Christian Persecution in India: The Real Story

Christian Persecution in India: The Real Story

We have heard about what the Christians in India have called the persecutions against them. However, there is much more to this story than we often hear, and there are certainly two sides to it.

The following is a first-hand investigative article that relates what has really been going on with the Christians in India, much of which has been kept from the public. This shows the duplicity in the Christian activities in India.

This article, by Francois Gautier, is reprinted from the "Annual Research Journal, 2001" published by the Institute for Rewriting Indian [and World] History.

WILL HINDUISM SURVIVE THE PRESENT CHRISTIAN OFFENSIVE?
By Francois Gautier

When Prime Minister Vajpayee was in the US in September (2000) , the National Association of Asian Christians in the US (whom nobody had heard about before), paid $ 50,000 to the New York Times to publish "an Open Letter to the Honorable Atal Bihari Vajpayee, prime minister of India."

While "warmly welcoming the PM," The NAAC expressed deep concern about the "persecution" of Christians in India by "extremist" (meaning Hindu) groups mentioning as examples "the priest, missionaries and church workers who have been murdered," the nuns "raped," and the potential enacting of conversion laws, which would make "genuine" conversions illegal. The letter concluded by saying "that Christians in India today live in fear."

The whole affair was an embarrassment (as it was intended to be) to Mr. Vajpayee and the Indian delegation, which had come to prod American businessmen to invest in India, a peaceful, pro-Western and democratic country.

I am born a Christian and I have had a strong Catholic education. I do believe that Christ was an incarnation of Pure Love and that His Presence still radiates in the world. I also believe there are human beings who sincerely try to incarnate the ideals of Jesus and that you can find today in India a few missionaries (such as Father Ceyrac, a French Jesuit, who works mostly with lepers in Tamil Nadu) who are incarnations of that Love, tending tirelessly to people, without trying to convert them.

But I have also lived for more than 30 years in India, I am married to an Indian, I have travelled the length and breadth of this country and I have evolved a love and an understanding of India, which few other foreign correspondents have because they are never posted long enough to start getting a real feeling of this vast and often baffling country (nobody can claim to fully understand India). And this is what I have to say about the "persecution" of Christians in India.

Firstly, it is necessary to bring about a little bit of a historical flashback, which very few foreign correspondents (and unfortunately also Indian journalists) care to do, which would make for a more balanced view of the problem.

If ever there was persecution, it was of the Hindus at the hands of Christians, who were actually welcomed in this country, as they have been welcomed in no other place on this planet.

Indeed, the first Christian community of the world, that of the Syrian Christians, was established in Kerala in the first century. They were able to live in peace and practice their religion freely, even imbibing some of the local Hindu customs, thereby breaking the Syrian Church in two.

When Vasco de Gama landed in Kerala in 1498, he was generously received by the Zamorin, the Hindu king of Calicut, who granted him the right to establish warehouses for commerce.

But once again, Hindu tolerance was exploited and the Portuguese wanted more and more.

In 1510, Alfonso de Albuquerque seized Goa, where he started a reign of terror, burning "heretics," crucifying Brahmins, using false theories to forcibly convert the lower castes, razing temples to build churches upon them and encouraging his soldiers to take Indian mistresses.

Indeed, the Portuguese perpetrated here some of the worst atrocities ever committed in Asia by Christianity upon another religion. Ultimately, the Portuguese had to be kicked out of India, when all other colonisers had already left.

British missionaries in India were always supporters of colonialism. They encouraged it and their whole structure was based on "the good Western civilized world being brought to the Pagans."

Because, in the words of Claudius Buchanan, a chaplain attached to the East India Company, "Neither truth, nor honesty, honour, gratitude, nor charity, is to be found in the breast of a Hindoo!"

What a comment about a nation that gave the world the Vedas at a time when Europeans were still grappling in their caves!

And it is in this way that the British allowed entire chunks of territories in the East, where lived tribals, whose poverty and simplicity made them easy prey to be converted to Christianity. By doing so, the Christian missionaries cut a people from their roots and tradition, made them look westwards towards a culture and a way of life which was not theirs.

And the result is there today for everyone to see: it is in these eastern states, some of which are 90 per cent Christian, that one finds the biggest drug problems (and crime) in India. It should also be said that many of the eastern separatist movements have been covertly encouraged by Christian missionaries on the ground that "tribals were there before the 'Aryan Hindus' invaded India and imposed Hinduism upon them."

The trouble is that the latest archaeological and linguistic discoveries point to the fact that there NEVER was an Aryan invasion of India --it just was an invention of the British and the missionaries to serve their purpose. Aryanism is a synonym of Vedic culture.

Secondly, Christianity has always striven on the myth of persecution, which in turn bred "martyrs" and saints, indispensable to the propagation of Christianity. But it is little known, for instance, that the first "saints" of Christianity, "martyred" in Rome, a highly refined civilization which had evolved a remarkable system of gods and goddesses, derived from Hindu mythology via the Greeks, were actually killed (a normal practice in those days) while bullying peaceful Romans to embrace the "true" religion, in the same way that later Christian missionaries will browbeat "heathen" Hindus, adoring many gods into believing that Jesus was the only "true" god.

Now to come to the recent cases of persecution of Christians in India at the hands of Hindu groups.

I have personally investigated quite a few, amongst them the rape of the four nuns in Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh, nearly two years ago. This rape is still quoted as an example of the "atrocities" committed by Hindus on Christians.

Yet, when I interviewed the four innocent nuns, they themselves admitted, along with George Anatil, the bishop of Indore, that it had nothing to do with religion: It was the doing of a gang of Bhil tribals, known to perpetrate this kind of hateful acts on their own women.

Today, the Indian press, the Christian hierarchy and the politicians, continue to include the Jhabua rape in the list of atrocities against Christians.

Or take the burning of churches in Andhra Pradesh a few months ago, which was supposed to have been committed by the "fanatic" RSS. It was proved later that it was actually the handiwork of Indian Muslims, at the behest of the ISI to foment hatred between Christians and Hindus.
Yet the Indian press, which went berserk at the time of the burnings, mostly kept quiet when the true nature of the perpetrators was revealed.

Finally, even if Dara Singh does belong to the Bajrang Dal, it is doubtful if the hundred other accused do. What is more probable, is that like in many other "backward" places, it is a case of converted tribals versus non-converted tribals, of pent-up jealousies, of old village-feuds and land disputes.

It is also an outcome of what -- it should be said -- are the aggressive methods of the Pentecost and Seventh Day Adventist missionaries, known for their muscular ways of conversion.

Thirdly, conversions in India by Christian missionaries of low caste Hindus and tribals are sometimes nothing short of fraudulent and shameful acts. American missionaries are investing huge amounts of money in India, which come from donation-drives in the United States where gullible Americans think the dollars they are giving go towards uplifting "poor and uneducated" Indians.

It is common in Kerala, for instance, particularly in the poor coastal districts, to have "miracle boxes" put in local churches. The gullible villager writes out a paper mentioning his wish such as a fishing boat, a loan for a pucca (ie brick) house, fees for the son's schooling. And lo, a few weeks later the miracle happens! And of course the whole family converts, making others in the village follow suit.

American missionaries (and their government) would like us to believe that democracy includes the freedom to convert by any means. But France for example, a traditionally Christian country, has a minister who is in charge of hunting down "sects." And by sects, it is meant anything that does not fall within the recognized family of Christianity -- even the Church of Scientology, favoured by some Hollywood stars such as Tom Cruise or John Travolta, is ruthlessly hounded.

And look at what the Americans did to the Osho movement in Arizona, or how innocent children and women were burnt down by the FBI (with the assistance of the US army) at Waco, Texas, because they belonged to a dangerous sect.

Did you know that Christianity is dying in the West? Not only is church attendance falling dramatically because spirituality has deserted it, but less and less youth accept the vocation to become priests or nuns. And as a result, say in the rural parts of France, you will find only one priest for six or seven villages, whereas till the late seventies, the smallest hamlet had its own parish priest.

And where is Christianity finding new priests today? In the Third World, of course! And India, because of the innate impulsion of its people towards god, is a very fertile recruiting ground for the Church, particularly in Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
Hence the huge attention that India is getting from the United States, Australia, or England and the massive conversion drive going on today.

It is sad that Indians, once converted, specially the priests and nuns, tend to turn against their own country and help in the conversion drive. There are very few "White" missionaries left in India and most of the conversions are done today by Indian priests. Last month, during the bishop's conference in Bangalore, it was restated by bishops and priests from all over India that
conversion is the FIRST priority of the Church here.

But are the priests and bishops aware that they would never find in any Western country the same freedom to convert that they take for granted in India? Do they know that in China they would be expelled, if not put into jail? Do they realize that they have been honoured guests in this country for nearly two thousand years and that they are betraying those that gave them peace and freedom?

Hinduism, the religion of tolerance, and spirituality of this new millennium, has survived the unspeakable barbarism of wave after wave of Muslim invasions, the insidious onslaught of Western colonialism which has killed the spirit of so many Third World countries, and the soul-stifling assault of Nehruvianism.

But will it survive the present Christian offensive? Many Hindu religious leaders feel Christianity is a real threat today, as in numerous ways it is similar to Hinduism, from which Christ borrowed so many concepts. (See Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's book: "Hinduism and Christianity")

It is thus necessary that Indians themselves become more aware of the danger their culture and unique civilization is facing at the hands of missionaries sponsored by foreign money. It is also necessary that they stop listening to the Marxist-influenced English newspapers' defense of the right of Christian missionaries to convert innocent Hindus.

Conversion belongs to the times of colonialism. We have entered the era of Unity, of coming together, of tolerance and accepting each other as we are, not of converting in the name of one elusive "true" god. When Christianity accepts the right of other people to follow their own beliefs and creeds, then only will Jesus Christ's spirit truly radiate in the world.

Being Brave -

NEW DELHI: In a major embarrassment for organisers of the Commonwealth Games, an under-construction foot overbridge today collapsed outside the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium, the main venue of the Commonwealth Games, injuring 23 labourers.

Five of the injured are seriously injured in the incident that occurred at 3.10pm in Lodhi Road area of South Delhi, police said.

Taiwanese Tourists Shot in New Delhi

"Misguided" followers of the "Religion of Peace" shoot two foreign tourists at Jama Masjid. A pressure cooker bomb explodes.

P Chidambaram knows without investigations that this is not terrorist attack. Perhaps, just a little game between young "Jehadis".

But Muslims must have first right over national resources, including "Justice" -
...as decreed by Dr. MM Singh.

So, Chiddu will never utter "Islamic Terrorism" but rant and rave about "Saffron Terrorism".

NEW DELHI — Two armed assailants riding a motorcycle opened fire on a tourist bus parked outside of New Delhi’s most famous mosque on Sunday, in an attack that comes as the city prepares to host the Commonwealth Games in two weeks.
Two Taiwanese tourists were wounded in the shooting, which occurred outside the Jama Masjid mosque at 11:30 a.m., the police said. The two attackers indiscriminately fired seven or eight rounds into the bus before escaping on their motorcycle as a nearby police officer tried to chase. A citywide manhunt was under way for the two attackers.
“It is difficult to say what the motive is,” Karnail Singh, the New Delhi joint police commissioner, told reporters.
The target as well as the timing immediately raised questions about whether the shooting was a deliberate terrorist attack. Security is a paramount concern for the Games, which open Oct. 3 and are expected to bring thousands of athletes and spectators to New Delhi for the sports competition among nations of the former British empire.
Various media organizations published a letter in Hindi purporting to be from the Indian Mujahedeen and claiming responsibility for the attack. The Indian government considers the group to be a terrorist organization. It is unclear which news organizations received the original communication, which also threatened the Games, and by late evening there were questions and skepticism about what connection the letter might have to the actual attack.
On Sunday, Sheila Dikshit, the chief minister of New Delhi, sought to calm fears about the attack, urging the public not to panic and repeating that the police had initiated a major investigation into the shooting. “It is not correct to write or assume that this is a terror attack,” Ms. Dikshit said on NDTV, a 24-hour news channel in New Delhi.
Commonwealth Games organizers said in a statement on Sunday that the shooting would have “no impact” on the Games. Officials “have made elaborate arrangements to provide the Commonwealth Games athletes and officials a safe and secure environment,” it said.
The two injured Taiwanese tourists were undergoing surgery in a New Delhi hospital on Sunday. Dr. Amit Banerjee, of Lok Narayan Jay Prakash Hospital, said that the tourists had suffered abdominal injuries.
The Jama Masjid is one of India’s largest mosques and is located in the old part of the city, across from the historic Red Fort. Built in the 17th century, the mosque attracts thousands of Muslims for Friday Prayer. In 2006, it was attacked by two low-intensity blasts that injured more than a dozen people. The mosque itself was not damaged.

Congress sells its way to Rs 600 cr corpus

Congress sells its way to Rs 600 cr corpus

The Indian National Congress has taken the next step in politics by moving away from the old era of donations to fund its activities to one of selling coupons to build up a corpus – the largest one among parties in India.

Congress sold coupons worth Rs 600 crore to generate funds during 2007-09 while most of the other political parties were dependent on voluntary donations for fund raising.

The oldest political party, Congress, generated Rs 598.4 crore during 2007-08 and 2008-09 through the sale of coupons while it received donations of Rs 72 crore. The party also generated Rs 38 crore as interest during the period, reveal income tax returns filed by the party.

Funds for Bharatiya Janta Party were mainly sourced from voluntary donations during the period which amounted to Rs 297.7 crore while interest of Rs 21.29 crore and "Ajiwan Sahyog Nidhi" were the other sources.
Public does not support Congress funding by donations. But Gandhi-Maino family converts a small part of its thousands of crores of black money by "selling coupons" and showing as receipts. It would be very interesting indeed, if the Income Tax people were to ask for a list of "purchasers of coupons".

Shantiniketan in a Barricade

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high".
Thus spake Gurudev Rabindra Nath Tagore.

So, in a fitting homage, "Yuvaraj" Raul Vinci, the 40 year old Youth leader, goes to Shanti Niketan - the abode of learning, and politicizes the academic environment.

And students get to shake hands via a wire fence - like on Indo-Pak border - apparently the most effective protection against sniper and bomb attacks.

Unless off course the intention is to remind about the lowly status of "mere students" vs. Yuvaraj.
